Business Development - West
SP Industries, Inc., an ATS Company is searching for a Business Development Manager to join the team!
The Business Development Manager is a highly motivated and experienced professional responsible for driving the growth of our glassware portfolio through strategic OEM partnerships. This role focuses on identifying and developing new OEM opportunities, managing and strengthening existing accounts, and achieving sales growth, profitability, and market expansion in alignment with company objectives. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building skills, a results-driven mindset, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver exceptional value to our OEM partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, pursue, and close new OEM business opportunities across relevant market segments to achieve sales revenue and margin targets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned OEM accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and account retention.
- Manage all aspects of OEM relationships, including timelines, pricing, communication, and on-time execution of customer projects and deliverables
- Coordinate with internal resources-manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and product management-to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Meet or exceed sales targets, profitability goals, and account-specific objectives in alignment with company expectations.
- Develop and maintain an organized territory plan that ensures routine and timely engagement with all key accounts.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in CRM systems, including opportunities, quotes, and customer engagement, and provide regular updates on account dynamics, pipeline, and funnel activity
- Conduct regular customer visits and meetings to support project development and strengthen relationships.
- Understand customer needs and provide technical and product support in collaboration with internal teams.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.
- Complete required training and development objectives within assigned timeframes.
- Estimated 30-50% travel within the region.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Science or related field
- 5+ years experience in sales, OEM sales experience preferred.
- Experience with scientific glassware and/or custom manufactured products
- Understanding of laboratory workflows and scientific applications.
- Previous experience working with manufacturing or custom production teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver's license
- All candidates must pass a background check

Manager responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment include:
