In this job, you'll support the Standards Laboratory by delivering and picking up equipment from Substations and Service Centers throughout SCE's service territory as well as supporting the laboratory's warehouse needs.

Responsibilities

• Transports tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Package tools and materials into cardboard boxes.

• Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts and trucks.

• Perform semi-skilled mechanical work, general housekeeping, and other unskilled tasks.
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

• One or more years of experience performing semi-skilled mechanical work.
• One or more years of experience with heavy material-handling equipment.
• Possess and maintain a valid Class C License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to operate light trucks and material-handling vehicles.
• Basic understanding of mechanical theory and nomenclature.
• Experience using hand tools and power operated tools.
• Knowledge of general safety practices and first aid.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work in shop or field conditions.

Additional Information

• This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

• The primary work location for this position is (Westminster Combined Facilities).
• Position will require up to 60% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.

• Relocation does not apply to this position.

Testing

• This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Reference our Information Guides for the following tests: EEI BCAB (Test #5206). Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
