Become an Inspections Data Analyst & Compliance Sr. Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, your primary focus is to leverage data analysis to support the entire lifecycle of various inspection programs. This process entails thorough data collection, quantitative analysis, and reporting to support the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of inspection activities. You will support the management of contracts and budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and validate inspection data and invoices, all while producing actionable business intelligence and visualizations, such as dashboards, reports, charts, and trackers, to enhance strategic decision-making and operational performance.

Throughout the end-to-end process of various inspection programs, you will collaborate with contractors, stakeholders, customers and internal teams to organize, validate, and communicate performance results. Your work will include leading projects, monitoring data, and recommending improvements to analytics systems and processes. By transforming complex data into practical solutions, you play a key role in ensuring that inspection requirements are met, risks are mitigated, and public safety is prioritized. Your commitment to accuracy, integrity, and cross-functional collaboration is essential to maintaining operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

As an Inspections Data Analyst & Compliance Sr. Specialist, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions and create cleaner air for everyone. Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?

Responsibilities

  • Extracts, transforms, and automatically loads data from various sources.
  • Develops and maintains scripts for data cleaning, statistical analysis, and reporting.
  • Applies statistical techniques to analyze program data, identifying trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Develops reports, dashboards, and visualizations using SAS and other tools to communicate findings effectively.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by assessing key metrics.
  • Quantifies the impact of interventions and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to identify data requirements and ensure accurate results.
  • Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Protects all physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and properly accesses and manages private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other highly sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience performing data analysis.
  • Experience using a variety of data tools and software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in data extraction, transformation, and analysis, including report and dashboard development.
  • Three or more years of experience with analytics and data visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, SAS, ArcGIS, and Python.
  • Three or more years of experience with Power BI and Power Automate.
  • Experience with SAP and Ariba for work management, contracts, and cost tracking.
  • Effective communication skills, with experience presenting complex data to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with data management, including data cleansing, validation, and quality control.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., in utility operations).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence organizational change in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
