Responsibilities
- Provides Safety leadership, coaching, and direction in the execution of programs and processes for the elimination of injuries, accidents and performance errors, including leadership in the development, interpretation and enforcement of safety rules, policies and practices by ensuring supervisors conduct thorough tailboards, informative safety meetings and support SC&M's safety congress and all other T&D Safety initiatives.
- Provides leadership in the investigation of safety incidents, then develops and implements corrective actions.
- Develops and implements strategies to improve safety performance and safety culture.
- Works directly with IBEW leadership, developing constructive working relationships, and aligning to support improving safety and administering the CDSP program.
- Develops long term strategy for the Electrical Construction department assessing staffing needs, training, tooling, equipment, employee development and budget.
- Accounts for compliance, schedule and budget on all electrical construction projects.
- Develops and executes resource deployment strategy for the Electrical Construction department defining work locations, actions, milestones and deliverables. Works closely with CPM's to define appropriate schedule and plan for capital work. Leads projects that have the potential for significant impact to the overall Cap Ex plan for SCE, thus necessitating attention to detail and strategy and ability to implement strong change management.
- Selects and develops the Sr. Supervisor and Working Foreman positions. Develops and sets department strategic and performance goals, provides guidance, coaching, and oversight for all supervisors.
- Ensures Sr Supervisors develop plans to meet corporate goals and objectives. Monitors, develops, revises and implements.
- Apprentices training programs under the AOR by working closely with Alhambra Training to satisfy departmental needs and requirements all to align with Corporate Strategic goals.
- Provides coaching/mentoring and development opportunities for Sr Supervisors, Working Foreman, upgrade Sr Supervisors, and craft personnel to improve knowledge and overall work environment. Creates strategies to develop future leaders and improve bench strength.
- Oversees respective allocated portions of department capital budgets and/or O&M. Makes decisions on vehicle investments, O&M and capital tool purchases while understanding short- and long-term needs.
- Identifies and maintains crew tooling and equipment necessary to complete jobs efficiently and safely, identifying areas of opportunity and strategies to implement.
- Develops and executes performance management tools under the AOR with assessments measuring budget, productivity, and safety performance. Establishes metrics delineating expectations for performance and making organizational corrective actions as necessary. Reports team performance through senior management
- Develops and implements strategies to improve safety performance and facilitate safety culture transformation.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity

Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
- Experience in leading electric transmission operations construction.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading or managing construction organizations with broad knowledge of construction requirements.
- Experience oversee the construction or operation of substation facilities.
- Experience managing or supervising bargaining unit employees and working within a collective bargaining agreement.
- Broad knowledge of company and departmental policies, objectives, strategies, and goals, as well as applicable governmental laws and regulations.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- Position will require up to 25% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
