Incident Management Team Expected Participation: Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual's regular responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Generates insights to operational performance, recommends solutions, and leads efforts to operationalize. Provides impact assessment and recommendations on various solutions.
  • Conducts process assessments and develops process maps.
  • Translates business requirements to detail-level system specifications and evaluates against current system capabilities.
  • Produces reports and dashboards with a focus on visualizing data to support the reporting and analytics needs of the group.
  • Monitors system implementation ensuring user satisfaction while being hands-on in support of implemented solutions.
  • Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems.
  • Automates the hand-off of code releases from development to operations.
  • Captures process maps and flow diagrams for new or existing solutions as part of operational excellence. Monitors project progress and deliverables against business expectations.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in information technology development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Experience supporting business systems, system integrations, software enhancements, and cross-functional technology initiatives, including requirements gathering, User Acceptance Testing / Post Verification Testing, implementation, production support, issue resolution, and coordination with stakeholders, IT organizations, and external vendors to successfully deliver business and technology solutions.
  • Experience with Demand Response programs and supporting systems, distributed energy resources (DERs), CAISO wholesale market operations, and other related energy operations.
  • Experience supporting vendor relationships, contract administration, service-level performance monitoring, budgeting activities, purchase orders, invoices, and deliverable tracking.
  • Experience with utility or regulatory industry.
  • Experience with internal controls, audit processes, and compliance activities, including experience maintaining documentation and supporting audit readiness.
  • Experience analyzing, validating, and reporting operational and project data to support business decision-making, performance measurement, risk identification, and process improvement.
  • Ability to identify operational inefficiencies, workflow gaps, data quality issues, and system improvement opportunities, and support implementation of sustainable solutions using continuous improvement principles.
  • Ability to develop and maintain business processes, workflows, operational procedures, system documentation, and decision records that promote consistency, knowledge transfer, and business continuity.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate issue resolution, and lead assigned projects, workstreams, or improvement efforts.

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
