In this job, you will partner with leaders across the organization to identify risks, enhance controls, and drive solutions that improve business performance and reduce company risk. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic initiatives, shape governance practices, and deliver meaningful impact across Customer Service operations.
Incident Management Team Expected Participation: Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual's regular responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Reviews monitoring plan gaps and partners with compliance leads to strengthen operations controls and reduce risk.
- Implements business controls policies, standards, or operations procedures.
- Optimizes internal controls, assess effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and improves reporting.
- Develops and maintains complex financial models for financings and partnerships, including due diligence support.
- Identifies potential gaps and implements appropriate strategies and tactics to address them.
- Provides ongoing monitoring, management, and analysis of actual performance against the budget, as well as recommendations for forecast adjustments and reasoning.
- Emphasizes actionable insights and recommendations, with specific tactics and strategies to be executed, based on financial data.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience implementing policies, processes, controls, and system improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting business controls, SOX, risk management, compliance, audit, governance, quality assurance, or operational excellence programs.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and other reporting and collaboration tools.
- Experience working in a utility industry.
- Ability to identify control gaps, evaluate business risks, and develop practical solutions that improve operational effectiveness.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with experience interpreting complex data and translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Ability to assess processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive implementation of sustainable control enhancements.
- Experience developing executive-level reports, presentations, dashboards, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective action plans to address identified control or compliance issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to exercise sound business judgment and independently resolve complex issues with minimal direction.
- Experience building collaborative relationships with leaders and teams across multiple business functions.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail and execution.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
