THE ROLE

The Global Supply Chain Performance and Transformation manager is a high-impact leadership role responsible for architecting the digital and operational framework that will support Sotheby’s future growth.

This individual will serve as the Global Architect for our operations, bridging the gap between high-level brand strategy and ground-level execution. Their mission is to build a world-class data ecosystem that provides near real-time global visibility to optimize the customer journey at Sotheby’s. The role will also suppose the standardization of processes across regions to drive scale and protect margin.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Data & Performance Management 

  • Serve as the  business owner in partnership with Product and Tech teams to build the Operations Data Warehouse and dashboards.
  • Define the semantic data layer  for the entire Product and Customer lifecycle.
  • Shift the organization with proactive analytics to help reduce product blockages and capacity constraints.
  • Develop and deploy the Global Operations Scorecard, focusing on lead time, efficiency, quality, and experience. 
  • Help to establish a Data driven culture where data insights are used to drive weekly and monthly operational reviews at the executive level. Partner with our regional teams to drive performance excellence.

Process Ownership & Change Management

  • Audit regional workflows (Receiving, Photo, Catalog, Exhibition, Release) to identify "Best-in-Class" practices and codify them into the Global Operations SOP.
  • Ensure that the operational framework can support high-growth initiatives.
  • Lead the end-to-end change management strategy to ensure the global workforce adopts the standardized global workflows.
  • Coordinate all the key stakeholders within Ops and outside of Ops,  ensuring local nuances are heard while maintaining the integrity of the Global Roadmap
  • Design and oversee global training programs to support  our operational teams, ensuring they are fluent in new digital tools and standardized SOPs.
  • Establish "Change Champion" networks in each region to identify friction points and iterate on process design to ensure high adoption rates.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • 6 to 8  years of experience  in Global Supply Chain, Operations, or Management Consulting
  • Experience in Luxury or Tech-Enabled Marketplaces is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in data analytics with significant business acumen. Proven ability to bridge the gap between data and business. 
  • Proven experience working with Product/Tech teams to build data infrastructures. Proficiency in the "Modern Data Stack" (Snowflake, dbt, Looker) and ERP implementations or enhancement  is a must.
  • A proven track record of leading large-scale organizational transformations in complex, multi-regional environments.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or  Engineering. APICS or Six Sigma Black Belt certifications are a plus.

The proposed base salary for this position ranges from $90,000-$130,000. In addition to base salary successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus, as well as a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
