The Wire Center Manager is responsible for the management of the warehouse and delivery operations of the Wire Center, assuring that such activities are conducted in accordance with the policies and practices of Echo Electric and in a manner that achieves customer satisfaction and maximizes productivity and profitability. The Wire Center Manager is also responsible for evaluating and identifying
process improvements to enhance the overall operation of the Wire Center.
We are looking for associates who:
- Directs and coordinates Wire Center functions and team to assure that they efficiently and effectively provide services required in a manner that promotes quality customer service
- Manages the movement of wire into and out of inventory. Approves all modifications to inventory. Coordinates inventory audit process.
- Oversee the coordination of inventory preparation and warehouse cleanliness in conjunction with the warehouse manager.
- Coordinates cycle inventory counts with RF system.
- Coordinates & prioritizes the daily cut orders received in order to meet customer demands, identifying the most appropriate & cost-effective delivery method (via internal transfer system or 3rd party shipping vendor).
- Monitors and controls defective merchandise and returns in order to reduce related inventory costs.
- Reviews and coordinates orders received with appropriate sales associate or ticket writers to assure when wire is required & to confirm cut details; communicates deadline & shipping concerns when customer demands become challenging.
- Uses appropriate forms of written communication both internally & externally
- Maintains a working knowledge of required software applications and utilizes software for appropriate means of communication
- Resolves customer concerns.

What you bring:
- Associate degree in business or related field or equivalent on the job experience as determined by Springfield Electric.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in warehouse, counter sales and/or delivery operations, preferably in the electrical distribution industry.
- Demonstrated customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to plan and schedule the work of others.
- Demonstrated time management and organization skills, including the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proven proficiency in general personal computer application, as well as in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
- Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.
- Strong customer service orientation.
