The Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Digital Enterprise organization is a key member of the digital leadership team. This role leads the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive omnichannel transformation, operational excellence, and associate productivity through technology. The Director is responsible for establishing, implementing, and scaling PMO capabilities that ensure consistent governance, strategic alignment, and delivery of measurable business outcomes. This leader will cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all departments.

PMO Strategy & Governance

  • Develop, implement, and mature PMO frameworks, tools, and governance models to ensure consistent execution across all digital enterprise initiatives.
  • Align project portfolios with organizational priorities and ensure compliance with PMO standards, processes, and the digital enterprise playbook.

Delivery Roadmap Alignment

  • Ensure all programs and projects support the strategic delivery roadmap.
  • Facilitate prioritization, sequencing, and resource alignment to maximize business impact and operational efficiency.

Portfolio Management & Reporting

  • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of all projects within the portfolio to meet financial, operational, and strategic expectations.
  • Monitor project health, budgets, risks, and timelines, providing clear, executive-level reporting and insights on progress and outcomes.

Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project and portfolio success.
  • Conduct post‑project evaluations, capture lessons learned, and implement continuous improvement practices to enhance PMO effectiveness.

Leadership & Development

  • Coach, mentor, and manage project management staff to support capability building and professional growth.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, influencing and guiding digital enterprise leaders in project delivery excellence, governance, and change leadership.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership excellence with strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
  • Highly analytical mindset with exceptional planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven commitment to the highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and articulate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong time‑management abilities with a track record of planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships and collaborate effectively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Customer‑focused orientation with a commitment to delivering an exceptional stakeholder experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%.

Salary $165,000-$180,000 with bonus

Desirable Qualifications

  • Project & Portfolio Management: PMP, PgMP, PfMP
  • Agile Leadership: PMI‑ACP, SAFe Lean Portfolio Manager (LPM)
  • Change Management: Prosci Change Management Certification
  • Enterprise Architecture & Governance: TOGAF 9, COBIT
  • Cloud Foundations:

    • AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect - Associate
    • Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900) or Azure Architect
    • Google Cloud Digital Leader
  • Data & Analytics: Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
