The Suite Runner plays a key role in delivering an exceptional premium guest experience by ensuring the timely, accurate, and polished delivery of food and beverage items to suites within the premium hospitality area. This position acts as a vital link between the kitchen, service teams, and guests-maintaining high standards of presentation, order accuracy, and service efficiency. Suite Runners help uphold the elevated service expectations of the premium environment through attentive support, strong communication, and a consistently guest-focused approach.
Suite Runners also support suite attendants and service staff by replenishing supplies, assisting with setup and cleanup, and responding promptly to guest needs throughout events. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain strong attention to detail, and contribute to a seamless, coordinated experience for all guests in the premium suites.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver food & beverages promptly from kitchen or service stations to assigned suites, ensuring items arrive in the correct course sequence and at proper temperature.
- Verify order accuracy against tickets and modifiers (e.g., dietary restrictions, sauces on the side), and ensure plates and trays meet presentation standards before delivery.
- Serve as a communication link between kitchen, suite attendants, and service captains-escalating delays, special requests, and changes in guest counts in real time.
- Support suite attendants with service execution, including replenishing items, running condiments/utensils, refreshing beverages, and assisting with guest requests throughout events.
- Maintain suite readiness by assisting with setup (stocking paper goods, glassware, disposables, condiments) and supporting mid-event resets and post-event breakdown.
- Manage stocking and par levels for premium areas-monitor inventory usage during events, restock efficiently, and communicate shortages or substitutions promptly.
- Clear and tidy service areas by bussing used items, managing tray returns, and keeping hallways, staging zones, and side stations clean and uncluttered.
- Uphold safety and sanitation standards, including safe tray handling, allergen-aware handling, labeling, and compliance with health department and venue policies.
- Operate in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure, attention to detail, and a premium level of hospitality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with culinary, bar, stewarding, and suite teams to ensure seamless timing, especially during peak service windows (pregame/intermission/halftime).
- Use venue systems and tools (radios, POS/handhelds as applicable, ticket printers, warmers, hot boxes) correctly and report equipment issues promptly.
- Protect the guest experience by proactively anticipating needs, resolving service challenges, and escalating guest concerns to supervisors when appropriate.
- Adhere to uniform and appearance standards consistent with premium service expectations and brand guidelines.
- Support special events and VIP activations by executing unique setups, handling elevated presentations, and maintaining discretion and professionalism.
