Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a Retail Manager 2 to lead the Starbucks operation at the University at Albany (UAlbany). This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a university setting, keeps up with food and beverage trends, and excels in team development and customer experience.
As part of a larger campus dining team, you'll manage a high-volume retail location with a dedicated staff of 20-25, helping create a welcoming and efficient café experience for students, faculty, and guests.

What You'll Do
- Oversee daily operations of the campus Starbucks, ensuring efficiency and a high standard of service
- Lead and develop a team of 20-25 frontline employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Manage inventory, cash handling procedures, scheduling, and labor controls
- Maintain compliance with HACCP and all Sodexo safety and sanitation programs
- Collaborate with university partners and Sodexo teams to align on goals and customer satisfaction
- Stay current with coffee culture, university trends, and retail best practices to continuously enhance the customer experience
- Meet or exceed financial targets and performance benchmarks

What You Bring
- 2-3 years of experience in retail foodservice or hospitality management (Starbucks or coffee experience a plus)
- Experience managing frontline staff in a high-volume setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on management style
- Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment and maintain composure under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety standards, labor management, and customer service excellence
- A passion for quality, teamwork, and student engagement
