Part-time Clinical Dietitian
Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a part-time 16 (hours/week) Clinical Dietitian for Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital in Murphy, North Carolina-part of the Erlanger Health System and serving a seven-county region in western North Carolina. The role blends inpatient and general MNT outpatient care. This position is well-suited for both experienced clinicians and new graduates who are comfortable working independently and enjoy a varied, meaningful clinical practice in a supportive community hospital setting.

What You'll Do
- Utilize the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, and treat inpatients on the medical floor and in the intensive care unit, as well as provide outpatient nutrition services
- Collaborate effectively as a dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver and manage high-quality nutrition care
- Provide nutrition education to patients and families and deliver staff education to support the safe and effective care of clients
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance activities

What You Bring
- Registered Dietitian and licensed in North Carolina, or eligible to obtain
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and creatively problem-solve within a self-directed, team-oriented environment

- Maintain required competencies, skills, and continuing education to support professional practice

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
