General Manager 4 - Environmental Services / Custodial
Role Overview
Sodexo is hiring our General Manager 4 Environmental Services for a potential sale in New Jersey for the K12 segment. As a key leader within our Facilities Management team, our General Manager will oversee custodial, sanitation, and grounds operations while ensuring exceptional service delivery to a high-visibility client environment. Reporting directly to the FM Director, this role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, the ability to communicate effectively with C-Suite stakeholders, and the operational discipline to manage a complex budget. Our ideal candidate brings a blend of custodial and grounds knowledge, team leadership, and a commitment to maintaining safe, clean, and efficient equipment and facilities. (Black Seal Certification is required in NJ). This is a potential sale, and contingent offers will be made.
What You'll Do
- Have the Black Seal Certification required in NJ
- Optimize a $2M+ annual budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service standards.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs for custodial equipment and ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client leadership, providing clear communication, updates, and strategic recommendations.
- Lead daily operations across custodial, sanitation, and grounds teams, ensuring high-quality service and regulatory compliance
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff, driving performance improvements and fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
