Role Overview
Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a General Manager 2 of Environmental Services to lead our housekeeping and laundry team at Ingleside at Rock Creek. This large, high-end continuing care retirement community is located in Washington, DC on 14 wooded and landscaped acres bordering DC's beautiful Rock Creek Park. Our ability to create a clean, healthy and comfortable environment for our communities is key to the full resident experience!
What You'll Do
- manage the housekeeping and laundry team consisting of approximately 38 FT union employees;
- drive client satisfaction by providing stellar customer service via effective communication with all levels of staff;
- follow-through with all action items that impact both client and resident satisfaction; and/or
- support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

What You Bring
- previous custodial or housekeeping director level experience preferably in a senior living or healthcare environment;
- prior experience managing a union staff;
- floor care and general housekeeping knowledge;
- strong financial acumen and budget management experience;
- excellent leadership skills with the ability to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion; and
- ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading committees and change management.
