Executive Chef 2

Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Executive Chef 2 to lead culinary operations at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious, and patient-centered meals while ensuring compliance with healthcare safety and sanitation standards. The Executive Chef leads culinary teams, drives menu innovation, supports patient satisfaction initiatives, and partners closely with operations and clinical teams to enhance the overall dining experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with healthcare or high-volume culinary experience and a passion for quality, service, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for hospital;
• manage, direct, and mentor frontline staff;
• procurement and purchasing;
• create menus based on client needs;
• implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering, and patient services;
• create interpersonal relationships with client.

What You Bring

• a strong culinary background with the ability to produce and present a high quality standard of food;
• menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends
• strong management skills and experience;
• proficient computer skills, highly organized, and detail-focused;
• a proven ability to set up processes, create efficiencies, and solve problems with little to no direction;
• ServSafe Certified with proven working knowledge of HAACP; and/or;
• C.E.C. (Certified Executive Chef) a plus.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
