Sodexo is seeking a Computer Support Services Manager - Point of Sale (POS) Manager for Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. The Computer Support Services Manager will oversee the daily operation and troubleshooting for 65 on site POS systems in 30 dining locations on this large university account - including resident dining, retail, catering and concessions. Annual sales volume of $40M. In addition to managing the pricing inputs and troubleshooting of POS systems, this position will support social media, mobile aps, mobile ordering, digital marketing and manage the computer programs and functions of this account - including office IT needs and functions.

In this technical support role, the successful candidate will provide daily operational support related to dining services technology needs on this campus. Duties include: Ensuring POS Systems are always up and operational. Monitoring, resolving, or escalating POS system issues. Performing quality assurance testing of new hardware and software. Provides root cause analysis on reported problems. Provides trouble-shooting for network, POS hardware, or software issues within the POS network. Assists in the administration of servers, operating systems, updates, anti-virus and routine maintenance. Monitors the status of servers, workstations, POS terminals, and peripheral equipment used by the POS system. Assists in the configuration of POS equipment and devices.
The best qualified candidate will have the following:
- Experience in a POS environment
- Hands-on experience in a client server environment
- Cbord / micros 9700 / simphony experience
- Technical proficiency with POS hardware & configurations: networking & security: Windows Server 2008
- Thorough knowledge of PCI requirements and how they relate to a POS systems
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft operating systems
- Ability to learn new software and hardware, team-oriented, hands-on, and results-driven
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed within a 24/7 on call basis
Additional competencies include:
- Working knowledge of IT security Concepts:
- Networking
o VLANs (network segregation)
o IP Addressing (TCP/IP), Subnets (Private Vs Public Nets)
o Firewalls - an understanding of inbound vs outbound network traffic and an understanding of Ports & Protocols
- Payment Card Industry requirements
o Antivirus
o Local computer policy
- Experience working with point of sale systems and associated peripherals.
- Cash Drawers
- Receipt Printers
- Creating, modifying and customizing reports either through direct database access, or by using a tool like crystal reports.
- General PC Hardware/Software troubleshooting experience
