Location: We are seeking a Beer Vendor / Hawker at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners.
Job Type: Part-time Seasonal
This position follows the Seattle Mariners' home-game schedule from March through September. Work from October to February is not guaranteed and is based on business needs and union seniority.
Union Status: Union
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with UNITEHERE Local 8.
Work Location: In person
Pay: $26.50 per hour
Principle Function:
The Vendor/Hawker is a key member of the Concessions team, responsible for assertively selling food and beverage items-and at times, novelty merchandise-while circulating on foot throughout assigned seating sections within a large sporting arena.
Vendors/Hawkers may work in various locations across the venue's decks and concourses. They process customer payment transactions and are responsible for maintaining Sodexo Live! standards of cleanliness and sanitation. They must demonstrate the energy, professionalism, and quality of work that uphold Sodexo Live!'s standards for service, accuracy, efficiency, and product quality.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Walk assigned seating sections and actively sell beer and other beverages using an energetic, engaging sales approach.
- Carry and manage a portable inventory of beverages, ensuring products are served at appropriate temperatures and handled safely.
- Verify customer age and comply with all state and venue policies for responsible alcohol service.
- Process cash and electronic payments accurately while maintaining accountability for all sales and inventory.
- Provide friendly, efficient service and maintain a positive, professional demeanor with all guests.
- Accurately count, track, and reconcile product inventory before, during, and after each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness of personal equipment and work areas, adhering to all health and sanitation standards.
- Communicate product availability, pricing, and promotions clearly to guests.
- Restock and prepare product for service as directed by supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with concessions leads and fellow vendors to ensure smooth operations throughout the venue.
- Uphold all Sodexo Live! service standards and contribute to a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable guest experience.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Must be at least 21 years old in accordance with state alcohol service regulations.
- Current TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Proven ability to understand, follow, and effectively implement written and verbal instructions.
- Strong team orientation with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments to support event operations.
- Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, for accurate cash handling and inventory reconciliation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of accountability.
- Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced, and sometimes high-stress environment, especially during peak event periods.
- Basic technology aptitude, including ability to operate POS systems, handheld payment devices, and digital registers.
- Exceptional guest service skills, with the ability to engage customers easily, project confidence, and deliver a friendly, enthusiastic sales approach.
- Strong verbal communication skills for projecting calls and promoting products throughout seating sections.
- Physical stamina and ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, and carry product bins during extended periods of time.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational and event scheduling needs.

Other requirements include but are not limited to:
- Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight.
Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
