Location: We are seeking a Beer Technicianat T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners.

Job Type: Part-time Seasonal

This position follows the Seattle Mariners' home-game schedule from March through September. Work from October to February is not guaranteed and is based on business needs and union seniority.

Union Status: Non-Union

Work Location: In person

Pay: $23.00-$26.00/hr

Rate of pay depends on assigned work location

Principle Function:

The Beer Technician will play a key support role within the Beverage Department, assisting to ensure product availability, quality, cost effectiveness, compliance, control and service for all beverages served throughout the unit.

The Beer Technician assists with daily operations of the beverage department by moving and changing out kegs and CO2 canisters, as assigned, within bars, lounges, stands and other outlets where beverages are served. They will help to ensure that standards and policies for responsible alcoholic beverage service are enforced.

The Beer Technician may assist with ordering, inventory controls and cash management within each beverage location. They will support customer service satisfaction by monitoring departmental policies and procedures and assisting with training of beverage service personnel.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maximize Sodexo Live!'s revenue and operational excellence through implementation and oversight of systems and policies related to the Beverage department
  • Contributes to the efficient operation of business; Ensures all aspects of beverage operations and events are completed in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Contribute to goal of making Sodexo Live! #1 in Event Hospitality and the #1 Employer of Choice through personal commitment and leading by example.


Qualifications/Skills:

The individual must be able to lift 100 pounds.
    • Ability to properly use hand trucks and dollies to move kegs and CO2 canisters safely and properly.
    • Be able to walk long distances.
    • Able to change kegs and tanks in a proper and safe manner.
    • May include some bar responsibilities such as running product to bar locations.
    • Must possess strong general knowledge of food and beverage operations procedures, controls, and administration as well as awareness and ability to perform all catering-related positions.
    • Keen ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
    • Successful candidate must be willing to work a variety of shifts and be available as business demands require.
    • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management; Ability to promote and participate in team environment concepts.
    • Self-starter who can work independently and on several tasks/projects simultaneously, and who can contribute to functional areas of the business.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.

    Other Requirements:
    • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 100 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment

Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
