Smartsheet is looking for a Regional Principal Partner Account Manager for ASIA based in Singapore. The primary focus will be to optimize our ASIA partner business by focusing on the recruitment of new partners mapping to our ideal partner profile and managing and growing the existing Ecosystem. The Principal. Partner Account Manager will also explore other potential or new partner segments. The role is responsible for identifying new Resellers, Distributors, Solution Partners, and Regional and Global System Integrators, to recruit & sign those partners into the Smartsheet Aligned partner program. Additionally, they will assist with onboarding the partner and coaching their launch of a Smartsheet focused practice.

You will report to the Director, Partnerships and Alliances, APJ based in Sydney, Australia and work from our Singapore office on a hybrid basis.

You Will:

  • Recruit and onboard new, qualified Partners, which includes Regional and Global SIs, Solution Providers, Large Resellers, Distributors/Value Added Distributors and Referral Partners into the Smartsheet Aligned Partner program. 
  • Develop, grow and progress a pipeline of partner prospects across select countries in ASIA. 
  • Engage and manage Smartsheet partner recruitment programs and relationships in support of partnership objectives and sales opportunities.
  • Meet revenue targets by managing relationships with potential and existing partners.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive joint business plans with key partners  to drive significant revenue growth and market share.
  • Leverage, build and maintain strong, executive-level relationships within assigned  partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through Strategic Partnerships.
  • Manage partner contracts and ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Enable Partners on the Smartsheet platform through training, certifications, and resources.
  • Coordinate and manage joint sales and partner marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with Smartsheet direct sales teams to ensure alignment and drive co-selling opportunities.
  • Accurately forecast and manage partner pipeline and sales activities.
  • Track and report on partner performance, including revenue and key metrics.
  • Manage a regional Market Development Funds (MDF) budget.
  • Provide market insights and feedback to internal teams.
  • Resolve Partner issues and escalations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of SaaS application software sales experience. Bonus if experience is in the SaaS space with an emerging category offering.
  • 10+ years of partner management, business development, or sales
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through ASIA partner ecosystem
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to quickly discriminate between high potential partners with scalable potential and all the others.
  • Experience with software partner programs {MDF, DealReg, Partner Enablement pathways, etc.} and ability to infect prospects with enthusiasm for the potential of Smartsheet.
  • Preference for candidates that have recruited new partners to sell and deliver services in support of a new, emerging SaaS application
  • Demonstrated ability managing partners and executing joint business planning.
  • Establish clear goals and priorities; translate strategy into action plans; keep the business focused on the core drivers of profitable growth. Hold self and partners accountable for onboarding goals against a timeline.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all senior level corporate management
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teaming
  • Interact with consideration and approachability; value respect, and welcome differences and others’ perspectives
  • Passion for working with new technologies and new technical concepts
  • Knowledge of salesforce.com CRM and proficiency in G Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time and willingness to travel to Asia and Australia.
  • Legally eligible to work in Singapore on an ongoing basis
