DIRECTOR, EXECUTIVE RECRUITING- EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA
The Director, Executive Recruiting, reporting to the VP, People, will lead all executive recruiting (Director level and above) and drive strategic recruiting initiatives across the company. This role is a hands-on individual contributor position, responsible for owning high-impact searches and recruiting projects that are critical to Skyryse’s growth and long-term success. This is a full-time, onsite role based in El Segundo, California.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and lead all Director-level and above executive recruiting, including intake, sourcing, assessment, offer strategy, and close
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on executive hiring strategy, talent market dynamics, succession planning, and competitive intelligence
  • Partner closely with the VP, People and executive stakeholders to align hiring priorities with business objectives
  • Design and drive best-in-class executive candidate experiences while ensuring consistent, equitable, and compliant hiring practice
  • Manage a metrics-driven recruiting approach, tracking effectiveness, quality of hire, time-to-fill, and candidate pipeline health
  • Collaborate with HR, People Operations, and business leaders to coordinate interview processes, hiring decisions, and onboarding alignment
  • Contribute to employer branding efforts for executive talent in partnership with People, Communications, and leadership
  • Stay current on executive recruiting trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging best practices, particularly in highly technical and regulated environments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar experience
  • 10+ years of experience in executive recruiting, including 4+ years in a people management role 
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor recruiting teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Deep understanding of technical roles, hiring challenges, and market dynamics in hardware
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using ATS tools (Greenhouse) and recruiting analytics to optimize processes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Aerospace experience is a strong plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SPHR, PHR or SHRM CPR Certification 
  • Previous experience recruiting in a startup environment
  • Proven track record leading high-performing recruiting teams, including both individual contributors and managers
