Temporary Newscast Director

KOMO/KUNS is looking for a Director for our Newscast. We are looking to fill these temporary positions for approximately 6 weeks and 12 weeks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform any production duties as assigned
• Direct any assigned newscast using Ross Overdrive
• Code assist any newscast using INEWS with Ross Overdrive Plugin.
• Maintain production studio and control room
• Teleprompt any newscast
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience directing newscasts using Ross Overdrive
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew while under pressure
• Typing and good spelling skills necessary
• Ability to read and write, college degree preferred
• Must be able to lift & position 40 pound lighting instruments
• Flexible Schedule (Able to work any shift including weekends and early mornings)
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively with other production team members

The hourly compensation wage for this temporary position is $30.00. Temporary employees earn sick time based on hours worked.
