Senior Producer, Editorial Video, Amazing America

Sinclair, Inc. is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Producer, Editorial Video to join Amazing America, our digital-first lifestyle brand that spotlights what makes America amazing. Our mission is to celebrate our country's unique culture, adventurous spirit, and extraordinary stories hiding in ordinary places. Through entertaining, informative, and personality-driven storytelling, we inspire audiences to explore the country, experience its traditions, and connect with the people who make it special.

As a senior member of our creative production team, this individual will play a key role in developing original editorial concepts, building repeatable content franchises, identifying and cultivating on-camera talent, and establishing a distinctive visual and storytelling style across our platforms.

This is a hands-on creative position requiring strong editorial instincts, exceptional storytelling skills, and the technical ability to execute productions from concept through delivery.

The Senior Producer will work across short-form vertical video, mid-length digital programming, and longer-form original series distributed across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other digital platforms.

The successful candidate will understand how to balance journalistic curiosity with entertaining storytelling, creating content that is informative, visually compelling, authentic, and optimized for digital audiences.

Responsibilities

Ideation & Development

• Develop and pitch original editorial video concepts, standalone stories, repeatable formats, and recurring series that align with Amazing America's brand identity and audience development objectives.
• Monitor assigned geographic markets to identify interesting events, unique destinations, regional traditions, and fascinating personalities that define our country's culture
• Create comprehensive pitches that clearly articulate the editorial premise, audience hook, narrative structure, visual approach, production requirements, editing strategy, and intended distribution.
• Identify opportunities to connect individual stories to larger seasonal initiatives, editorial campaigns, and brand programming priorities.

• Lead research and story development for approved projects, ensuring accuracy, originality, and a compelling narrative approach.
• Develop creative treatments, scripts, outlines, interview questions, and production plans for a wide range of digital video formats.
• Source archival photographs, video footage, historical materials, and supplemental B-roll to support editorial storytelling.
• Work collaboratively with on-camera talent to develop scripts and storytelling approaches that complement their individual personalities and presentation styles.

• Serve as lead producer and creative director for original video productions in studio and field environments.
• Direct hosts, creators, interview subjects, and other on-camera talent to deliver authentic, engaging performances to deliver compelling, character-driven storytelling.
• Independently shoot high-quality video using DSLR/mirrorless cameras, DJI Osmo cameras, smartphones, and other professional production equipment.
• Manage creative decision-making during field productions, adapting to changing circumstances and recognizing opportunities for spontaneous storytelling.
• Travel as needed to produce original content in markets throughout the United States.

• Lead the editorial and creative execution of post-production, ensuring finished content meets Amazing America's storytelling and visual standards.
• Independently edit original video content using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Provide creative direction, feedback, and editorial notes to internal or freelance editors when projects require additional post-production support.
• Shape compelling narratives through pacing, interview selection, music, sound design, archival footage, graphics, and visual sequencing.
• Utilize Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite applications to create or enhance graphics, static social content, and visual storytelling elements.
• Develop platform-specific edits that reflect the distinct audience behaviors and storytelling conventions of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
• Maintain consistency in visual style, tone, and production quality across Amazing America's content portfolio.

• 5-7+ years of professional experience developing, producing, shooting, and editing editorial or entertainment-focused digital video content.
• Strong editorial judgment and an ability to identify stories and characters that resonate with digital audiences.
• Exceptional research, writing, and narrative storytelling skills.
• Hands-on experience directing studio and field productions.
• Advanced proficiency operating DSLR/mirrorless cameras, DJI Osmo cameras, smartphones, and associated production equipment.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and the broader Adobe Creative Suite.
• Deep understanding of short-form and longer-form digital video storytelling across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects while meeting creative, editorial, and production deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional creative team.
• Willingness and ability to travel for productions.

• Experience producing lifestyle, travel, food, culture, entertainment, adventure, or human-interest programming.
• Experience developing successful social-first content franchises and recurring editorial series.
• Background in digital journalism, documentary production, or character-driven nonfiction storytelling.
• Experience working across both premium digital productions and fast-turnaround social content.
