Business Manager

KATU/KUNP is looking for an experienced Business Manager. We are looking for someone to oversee the Accounting in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with the management of financial reporting and general accounting functions of multiple stations and ensuring that all documentation complies with Sarbanes-Oxley, company regulations and GAAP reporting guidelines.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger, fixed assets, financial statements, etc.
  • Assist in the month-enclose process and support basic accounting functions
  • Assist leadership with routine financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, federal compliance procedures, and accounting standards
  • Create and maintain Excel reports (pivot-tables, v-lookups, formulas, etc)
  • Support operations by staying organized and responsive
  • Identify process improvements and be resourceful in solving unexpected challenges
  • Help enforce company rules, policies, and professional standards
  • Communicate updates, in a clear and company positive manner
  • Maintain a calm, professional demeanor even when you need to adjust quickly
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with honesty and professionalism
  • Work independently with self-discipline while being a reliable team player
  • Meet deadlines consistently and manage multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to drive efficiency and process improvement
  • Ad-hoc reporting for management
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business
  • Minimum two (2) years relevant work experience in Accounting
  • Strong organizational skills and self- motivated
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be results oriented with strong accounting and financial skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience with Oracle preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment with various levels of staff
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Experience in Oracle Cloud a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge in the Human Resources field beneficial to the success of this role
