Anchor / Multimedia Journalist (MMJ)

KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas is seeking a dynamic News Anchor / Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) to join our team! In addition to being an outstanding journalist with a great personality, you need to be a team leader. Our anchors are leaders who participate in the planning of our shows and produce content regularly. A competitive passion to win and openness to innovation is mandatory! The ideal candidate will have:

• Sharp news judgment
• The ability to tell an NPPA style story
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record
• Strong Leadership skills
• Smooth/pleasant delivery
• Ability to adlib in absence of script
• Strong writing skills and news judgment
• Strong researcher
• Ability to network and build sources
• Producing background is a plus, willingness to learn is a must
• Be an innovator who enjoys breaking the mold
• Embraces new technology to tell stories
• Exemplary communication skills

• You must have at least 2 years of on-air experience
• Experience with Live-U is a plus
• Live commercial television experience is a must
• Strong \"in-the-field and live\" skills is required
• Exceptional written communications skills using a conversational writing style
• Strong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation
