Position Overview:

The exciting, fast growing Digital Factory division of Siemens PLM Software is actively recruiting for Professional Services Solution Architects.

As a Siemens Professional Services Solution Architect, you are the point person for designing product lifecycle solutions and helping them realize their Digital Transformation vision. This position requires strong business analysis skills to align PLM systems with enterprise-wide product development and excellent interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate brings a deep process knowledge of at least one key industry segment (eg. Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, Electronics) and strategic mindset in order to be thrive as a trusted advisor for solution delivery of scalable, integrated, and user-centric solutions which address identified business problems.

As part of the Professional Services team, you will work with Consultants, Product Architects, Project Managers, Industry Experts and Product Development teams to ensure solution remains aligned with business requirements and technically scalable for project and customer success.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal and external solution stakeholders to define PLM solution based on industry aligned best practices.
  • Drive workshops, user stories, and use cases to inform solution design, which ultimately translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
  • Set and manage stakeholders' expectations, demonstrating thought leadership to effectively influence key contacts and recommend solutions.
  • Direct the delivery of customer workshops using existing Solutions
  • Produce Business Process Models and Scenarios
  • Lead the overall architectural design area of a project and solutions to address the customers' business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into specific PLM solutions, applications or process designs for moderately complex projects.
  • Provide advice to the definition of required strategies for migration or management of legacy systems and data.
  • Support project management activities to control scope, cost, schedule and quality.
  • Communicate project progress by interacting with the customer to support customer expectations and support customer adoption.
  • Mentor Product Architects & Implementation Consultants team members.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • BS degree in Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Technology or equivalent knowledge of PLM.
  • 5+ years designing and supporting PLM solutions
  • Previous experience with Enterprise PLM, ERP or MES implementations as a customer, user or implementer.
  • Experience in 2 or more Industries (Aerospace, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Heavy Equipment, Medical, Food and Beverage, Energy, and Shipping).
  • Experience in creating and presenting Business Process Models
  • Experience leading a group of consultants during a solution implementation.
  • Experience presenting to groups in a question-and-answer setting.
  • Ability to communicate with a high degree of creativity, self-confidence, and persuasiveness.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%. (30% required)
  • Bilingual (French and English) preferred
