Position Overview

The Siemens EDA Global Sales team is seeking a strategic account director to develop and execute sales strategies and plans for one of our largest global accounts. This individual will establish and cultivate customer relationships proliferating Siemens EDA software, services, and hardware sales to meet revenue targets and collaborate across a global sales/technical team to support the customer's initiatives and needs. Successful strategic account directors are adept at building and expanding business within high-profile customers and have a passion for creating new business opportunities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following activities:

  • Develop the business plan and sales strategies for enabling SEDA products and services, leveraging expertise of internal partners across Technical Sales and Finance; regularly communicate the plan with SEDA's senior leadership team
  • Oversee the development of an in-depth technical execution plan towards achieving strategic objectives; track results across a cross-functional, worldwide team and manage and maintain continuity of plan with key SEDA stakeholders
  • Collaborate with SEDA executive leadership and Customer via regular management review meetings (MRMs) and technical review meetings (TRMs)
  • Develop and maintain quality customer relationships
  • Provide insight and visibility to the global account team; establish a vision with measurable goals and objectives
  • Regularly review team results against objectives while recognizing significant contributions


Qualifications:

• You have direct senior account management experience in the EDA or IC design space with a proven track record of planning, negotiating, and closing deals with complex global accounts

• You are an expert partnership-builder and relationship manager, both internally and externally; you have the ability to quickly build trust with senior leaders as well as collaborate with and motivate a worldwide, cross-functional team to develop solutions and overcome obstacles

• You exercise excellent business judgment and have demonstrated success delivering results that are optimized at the company level (balanced between company and customer), then team, then yourself

• You have the ability to handle competing priorities with an ability to address and solve problems in a timely manner

• You possess outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills to all organizational levels, including executive, C-Level leadership

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • This role will be primarily focused on customer's location in Bay Area, CA
  • Moderate travel is expected

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The total cash compensation range for this position is $214,400 to $407,500 with 40% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
