Job Summary

The Waterspider is responsible for keeping production teams supplied with the right materials, at the right place, at the right time. This role supports uninterrupted production by staging, delivering, replenishing, and removing materials, parts, and empty containers on the production floor. The Waterspider acts as a key link between inventory, warehouse, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Material Flow & Line Support

  • Deliver parts, components, kits, and subassemblies to production lines based on build schedules and kanban signals
  • Replenish point‑of‑use locations to prevent line stoppages
  • Remove empty containers, pallets, scrap, and finished goods from work areas
  • Stage materials according to production priorities and work instructions
  • Support multiple workstations or lines as assigned
Inventory & Accuracy
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and locations before delivery
  • Report shortages, damaged materials, or discrepancies immediately
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy activities
  • Maintain labeled, organized, and FIFO‑compliant materials flow
Safety, Quality & Workplace Organization
  • Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and material‑handling procedures
  • Safely operate material‑handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts, tuggers; forklifts if certified)
  • Maintain 5S standards in staging, aisles, and point‑of‑use areas
  • Support quality by ensuring correct materials are delivered to the correct job
Communication & Teamwork
  • Communicate proactively with production leads and supervisors about material needs or risks
  • Coordinate with warehouse, kitting, and logistics teams
  • Respond quickly to urgent production requests
  • Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read basic work instructions, labels, and part numbers
  • Basic math skills for counting and verification
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40-50 lbs with or without accommodation
  • Dependable attendance and strong sense of urgency
