Warehouse Skilled Operator

As a Warehouse Skilled Operator at Schneider Electric, you will be responsible for applying heat shrink wrap to electrical equipment and industrial components to ensure safe and secure packaging for transit and storage. Your work directly supports Schneider Electric's commitment to delivering high-quality, protected products to customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical components, machinery, and pallets for shrink wrapping.
- Apply heat shrink wrap using industrial heat guns and tools to create tight, weather-resistant seals.
- Ensure wrapping provides protection against environmental factors such as dust, moisture, and physical damage.
- Inspect wrapped items for quality, durability, and compliance with Schneider Electric's packaging standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to meet shipping schedules and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Accurately document packaging activities and report any issues or damages to supervisors.
- Quality assurance: Perform quality checks pre- and post-application to ensure all specifications are met and the finished product is flawless
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Safety compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in packaging, warehouse operations, or industrial wrapping preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in vinyl installation, vehicle wrapping, or a related field is typically required, with some roles seeking 3+ years of experience.
- Technical knowledge: Familiarity with different types of vinyl and marine wrapping materials, along with proficiency in using industry-standard tools.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate heat guns and other wrapping tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina: The ability to lift heavy materials, work with large sheets of vinyl, and operate in various indoor and outdoor conditions is essential.
- Familiarity with Schneider Electric's safety and quality protocols is a plus.
