This VIE opportunity will allow you to work in an international manufacturing environment, lead improvement initiatives, and actively support the deployment of digital and AI-driven solutions that enhance productivity, quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Main Missions

As a Methods Engineer, you will support the continuous improvement and digital transformation of manufacturing operations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing direct labor productivity and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Conducting time studies, work measurements, and process analyses.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and Standard Work.
  • Driving manufacturing digitalization projects and supporting the implementation of digital solutions.
  • Developing and maintaining performance dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Identifying and implementing AI use cases in manufacturing, including productivity analysis, predictive analytics, process optimization, and automated reporting.
  • Leveraging data analytics and AI tools to support decision-making and improve operational performance.
  • Optimizing manufacturing processes, material flows, workplace ergonomics, and shop floor layouts.
  • Supporting industrialization, capacity planning, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and IT teams to deliver sustainable improvements.
Qualifications
Education
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Previous Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, continuous improvement, or manufacturing excellence.
  • Experience working on productivity improvement initiatives in an industrial environment.
  • Exposure to manufacturing digitalization, data analytics, or process optimization projects is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning applications, or process automation is highly desirable.
Skills

Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and productivity improvement techniques.
  • Experience with time studies, work measurement, and process analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives.

Digital Skills
  • Experience with digital tools such as:
    • Power BI
    • Power Apps
    • MES
    • SAP
    • SQL
    • Or equivalent solutions

Personal Skills
  • Hands-on mindset with a strong presence on the shop floor.
  • Self-driven and proactive approach.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, digital transformation, and innovation.
Languages
  • English: Professional working proficiency.
  • German: Considered a plus.
