Upstream Planning Leader - Rojo Gómez Plant

Drive supply chain stability, long‑term continuity, and operational excellence.

We are looking for an experienced Upstream Planning Leader to strengthen the reliability of our supply chain and ensure material availability for one of our most important manufacturing sites. In this role, you will lead our master production planning process, optimize supplier performance, and secure the end‑to‑end flow of materials with a long‑term, sustainability‑focused mindset.
What will you do?

  • Own and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to balance forecast, workload, and available capacity.
  • Manage end‑to‑end upstream procurement, including forecast releases, order execution, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Lead continuous improvement of key supply chain KPIs such as OTD, inventory levels, lead times, and planning accuracy.
  • Ensure seamless material flow from suppliers into the shop floor and finished goods toward warehouses or distribution centers.
  • Maintain and improve critical planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, lot sizes, cycle times, MOQ, coverage).
  • Partner closely with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Quality to guarantee alignment and execution stability.
  • Identify risks, implement countermeasures, and develop strategies that enhance supply continuity and long‑term reliability.


What experience do you need?
  • 5+ years of experience in materials planning, MRP/MPS, or supply chain planning within manufacturing.
  • Proven success in upstream procurement management and supplier coordination.
  • Demonstrated results improving inventory performance, planning parameters, and supplier OTD.
  • Experience coordinating internal and external flows of materials and finished goods.
  • Participation in Lean, Kaizen, or inventory optimization projects.

  • Solid understanding of procurement logistics, safety stock strategies, stocking policies, MOQ/EOQ, and ABC classification.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
