Triconex Turbomachinery Business Development Leader

The Schneider Electric U.S. Process Industrial Automation business development group is seeking to add a Business Development Leader for Triconex Turbomachinery Controls. The individual will preferably be domiciled in the gulf coast region (not required), with a business development assignment across the U.S. In this role, the individual will collaborate with other U.S. Triconex business development/sales, sales/proposal consultants, turbomachinery controls delivery engineers, consultants and managers, to drive U.S. Triconex turbomachinery controls growth.

The Business Development Lead will be responsible for identifying critical compressor controls and turbine-generator controls opportunities, cultivating a strong target list of opportunity pipeline, engaging with key customer decision makers, and working with company team members to position our offers to capture new critical compressor controls and turbine generator controls business. The Triconex Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) platform is widely held as the premier process safety and critical control platform globally.

The Business Development Leader role will focus on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with corporate and site end-user customers, EPCs (Engineering, Procurement & Construction firms), and new market entrants investing in U.S. critical compressor controls and turbine generator installations. The Leader will leverage deep industry knowledge and relationships to advance deals, position Schneider Electric's automation and digital solutions, and support the company's strategic objectives in the continuously evolving turbomachinery controls market.

What will you do?

Market Development and Opportunity Identification

  • Identify and target greenfield and brownfield (competitive displacement) critical compressor and turbine generator controls opportunities in key U.S. markets and regions
  • Build and nurture relationships with corporate and site rotating equipment/mechanical reliability technicians/engineers/managers, control system technicians/engineers/managers, and process/power utility operation leaders
  • Develop and execute strategic programs with EPCs and OEMs to position Schneider Electric as the partner of choice for new greenfield turbomachinery controls
  • Monitor market trends, policy drivers, and project pipelines to proactively engage with stakeholders early in the project lifecycle.
Solution Positioning and Sales Execution
  • Articulate the value proposition of Schneider Electric's turbomachinery controls automation and digital solutions
  • Lead customer engagements, presentations, and workshops to demonstrate technical and business benefits.
  • Collaborate with technical and proposal teams to scope solutions, develop proposals, and support bid processes.
  • Drive business development and sales efforts for targeted brownfield (competitive displacement) and greenfield project pursuits, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
Relationship Management and Engagement
  • Establish and deepen decision maker relationships with top EPCs and OEMs
  • Engage with new market entrants and investors to understand their business drivers and position Schneider Electric's turbomachinery controls solutions
  • Represent Schneider Electric at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to build brand awareness and market presence.
Strategy, Reporting and Performance Management
  • Track pipeline, forecast sales, and report on key metrics to management.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to product management and marketing teams.
  • Support the development and execution of business cases for strategic initiatives in critical compressor controls.


What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical preferred)
  • 10+ years in industrial compressor or turbine-generator engineering and/or automation, business development, or technical sales.
  • Experience with Triconex or major competitive turbomachinery controls
  • Ability to convert strategies into implemented business solutions driving sales and revenue.
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of critical process compressors and/or
  • Strong understanding of steam and gas turbines
  • Strong understanding of industrial and utility power generation
  • Ability to compare and position Schneider Electric solutions against competitors.
  • Knowledge of project financing, risk management, and commercial structuring for large capital projects.
Soft Skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop rapport and credibility with C-level executives and technical stakeholders.
