Transportation Specialist

Role Purpose
The Transportation Specialist is responsible for the seamless execution and optimization of logistics operations.
This role focuses on enhancing transport efficiency, ensuring compliance, and managing day-to-day coordination with service providers to meet Schneider Electric's high standards for lead time and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Execute and monitor daily inbound/outbound shipments, ensuring schedule accuracy and proactive troubleshooting of logistics bottlenecks.
- Forwarder & Broker Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure SOP compliance and service quality.
- Logistics Data Analysis: Perform regular 'Analysis of Change' on logistics costs and performance metrics to identify and implement productivity improvement opportunities.
- Project Support: Assist in implementing regional and global transport projects, particularly focusing on flow optimization for orders moving through Korea.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOP): Maintain and update SOPs for domestic/international freight and customs clearance, ensuring all partners adhere to updated guidelines.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Closely align with Commercial, Finance, and Regional Planning teams to support business continuity and supply chain agility.
- Reporting: Prepare and present monthly performance reviews and KPIs, identifying risks in the current transport model.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Transport, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in transportation, logistics, or 3PL management.
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of the logistics market, commercial trade terms (Incoterms), and customs valuation processes.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to propose creative solutions for complex operational challenges.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.
- Mindset: Motivated, resilient, and customer-focused, with a "can-do" attitude toward difficult operational tasks.
- Language: Professional proficiency in English (Required for reporting and collaboration with global hubs).
