The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering high quality vocational, classroom, and on the job training. This role ensures that training activities follow defined standards, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and maintains strong collaboration with HR and Manufacturing Engineering. The Training Specialist will animate training centers and resources, facilitate short interval management (SIM) for training, escalate issues when needed, and help set training priorities for the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom, hands on , and on the job training using best practice training methods for newly hired and existing associates .
- Animate training centers / learning spaces and ensure training resources are effectively used.
- Coordinate and manage the Learning Corner and collaborte with HR, Methods and Learning Solutions teams.
- Deliver and facilitate onboarding training material
- Support and deliver digital training (LDS, DiSS, etc.)
- Manage and update the LDS E-Versatility tool
- Idenitfy and address non-compliant behaviors during training
- Maintain training resources according to standards
- Participate in the site's training strategy to improve versatility
- Deliver training sessions according to defined standards and curriculum requirements.
- Assist in identifying training needs, selecting training criteria, and developing training materials.
- Create, update, and deliver competency testing across training areas.

- Complete evaluations of trainee performance and maintain required documentation.
- Support audit preparation and maintain training and audit documentation.
- Conduct process audits, report findings, and communicate feedback to improve performance.
- Implement feedback loops to identify training successes and gaps for continuous improvement.
- Strongly contribute to continuous imprement of training
- When not actively training new hires or updating training materials, perform regular production or warehouse duties, including working on the line as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior trainer or team lead experience within Schneider Electric required
- Must be in a Team Lead, Tech IV or Training role currently
- Basic digital acumen to support LDS, DISS, and other digital systems. (Candidates will be required to pass a digital acumen assessment as part of the interview process which will include SAP, Excel, LDS, etc.)
- Ability to coordinate and communicate cross‑functionally (HR, Methods, Safety).
- Willingness and ability to obtain internal certification to operate crane and forklift when required to deliver hands‑on training.
- Ability to lead short‑interval management (SIM) discussions to communicate training progress, issues, and competency gaps.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train, guide, and support associates using best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekday and weekend overtime
Equipment & Tools Used:
- PCs with Office, training and manufacturing applications.
- LDS (Learning & Development System)
- DISS (Digital learning support environment)
- MLL administration (learning library tools)
- Training tools including learning courses, root cause analysis tools and continuous improvement tools.
- Equipment including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, and operating a crane and forklift.
- Overhead crane and forklift (used only when certified for conducting training activities).
