Tooling Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Tooling Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing and assembly of modular data centers by managing tooling inventory, coordinating tool maintenance, and ensuring the availability of specialized equipment across production lines. This position requires strong organizational skills, technical knowledge of industrial tooling, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tool Management & Inventory
- Maintain accurate records of tooling inventory, including calibration schedules and usage logs.
- Track tool lifecycle and coordinate procurement of new or replacement tools.
- Organize and label tooling for easy identification and access.
- Tooling Support for Production
- Ensure tooling is available and in optimal condition for production teams.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to identify tooling needs for new product lines or process changes.
- Assist in the setup and teardown of tooling for modular data center builds.
- Maintenance & Calibration
- Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and calibration of tools.
- Work with vendors or internal maintenance teams to resolve tooling issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards related to tooling.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Create and maintain tooling documentation, including SOPs, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
- Generate reports on tooling usage, downtime, and performance metrics.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve tooling efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and Kaizen events.
Who will you report to?
You will report to the Methods and Maintenance Manager. This role is an onsite position. You are required to report to the West Chester or Fairfield, OH facilities 5 days a week.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in tooling coordination, preferably in modular construction, data centers, or industrial manufacturing.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in modular builds.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move tools and equipment as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with modular data center construction or related industries.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- ERP system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
