Role Purpose

Set up and lead the TEX Center (Returned Product Failure Analysis and Test Execution) to deliver fast, accurate, and actionable analysis of returned/failed products. Build a high-performing team, establish lab capabilities and processes, meet SLA commitments, reduce closure times, and drive product performance improvements through lessons learned and robust corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Act as the central node connecting TEX centers across hubs to enable effective knowledge sharing and standardization.

Key Responsibilities

1) TEX Center Setup & Capability Building

  • Define lab layout, utilities, EHS controls, and workflow aligned to product portfolios and test coverage.
  • Specify, procure, install, and qualify test equipment and tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, X-ray, CT, environmental chambers, microscopes, rework stations, thermal imaging, data acquisition systems).
  • Establish calibration, maintenance, and uptime programs for critical equipment.
  • Implement LIMS/CMMS/QMS integration for sample tracking, analysis records, and reporting.

2) Talent Acquisition & People Leadership
  • Hire a competent, diverse team (TEX analysts/engineers/technicians), defining roles, skills, and career paths.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team competency through structured training plans and certifications.
  • Drive a performance culture with clear goals, regular feedback, and recognition.

3) Operations: TEX Analysis & SLA Management
  • Run end-to-end TEX operations: intake, triage, non-destructive and destructive analysis, root cause, validation, closure, and reporting.
  • Ensure SLA compliance for returned product analysis-prioritize backlogs, balance workload, and remove bottlenecks.
  • Lead daily/weekly operations reviews; publish dashboards (cycle time, throughput, RC confirmation rate, recurrence).
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, traceability, and documentation quality.

4) Root Cause, CAPA & Product Improvement
  • Guide systematic analysis using robust methodologies (8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, DOE, FRACAS).
  • Translate findings into clear lessons learned; partner with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to deploy CAPA.
  • Validate effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions; track recurrence reduction over time.
