Tendering Technical Leader

Join us as a Principal Technical Tendering Lead and shape the future of complex, integrated infrastructure solutions. You'll lead the technical strategy for high-stakes tenders, designing multi-system solutions that combine electrical, mechanical, and digital technologies into winning proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical development of complex and strategic customer proposals, ensuring solutions align with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary technical lead throughout the bid and tendering process, partnering with sales, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and project execution teams.
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to develop compliant and competitive solution designs.
  • Develop integrated electrical and power system solutions, including medium voltage, low voltage, protection and control, automation, and digital power technologies.
  • Drive technical solution strategy, value engineering initiatives, and cost optimization efforts to improve proposal competitiveness.
  • Coordinate technical reviews and stakeholder alignment to ensure proposal accuracy, quality, and risk mitigation.
  • Engage directly with customers, consultants, EPCs, utilities, and end users to clarify requirements and present technical solutions.
  • Identify technical risks, assumptions, and opportunities and incorporate them into proposal development.
  • Support commercial negotiations by providing technical expertise and solution justification.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal subject matter experts to develop optimized solutions and accurate technical deliverables.
  • Ensure seamless transition of awarded projects by providing complete technical documentation and knowledge transfer to execution teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, best practices, and standardization efforts across the tendering organization.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Significant experience in electrical power systems, power distribution, substations, industrial automation, or related infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience developing technical proposals, bids, tenders, or engineered solutions for complex customer projects.
  • Strong understanding of medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems, protection schemes, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution equipment.
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems, automation platforms, SCADA, PLCs, or digital power solutions is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, one-line diagrams, and customer requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with EPCs, utilities, industrial customers, data centers, or large infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, advanced engineering degree, or equivalent technical certifications are considered a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 142,400 - USD 213,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
