Tendering Engineer - Low Voltage Power Distribution
Location: Bucharest, Romania
Join our Tendering team and help us build competitive solutions for Low Voltage power distribution projects.
You will take projects from customer requirements to a complete technical and commercial offer - developing the technical solution, configuring the equipment, building the BOM and cost structure, and working with Sales, customers, factories and partners to find the right solution for each project.
What will you do?
- Analyze customer RFQs, technical specifications, single-line diagrams and other project documentation.
- Develop and configure Low Voltage power distribution solutions, including LV switchboards and associated equipment.
- Select and size electrical equipment based on project requirements and applicable standards.
- Prepare technical configurations, Bills of Material (BOM), technical descriptions, compliance/deviation lists and other tender documentation.
- Build complete technical and commercial offers, including solution configuration, cost calculation and supplier quotations.
- Request and compare quotations from factories, panel builders and external suppliers.
- Work closely with Sales, customers and technical teams to clarify requirements and optimize the proposed solution.
- Identify technical assumptions, exclusions and risks that may impact cost, scope, delivery or compliance.
- Look for alternative solutions that improve competitiveness while meeting the project's technical requirements.
- Support technical discussions and clarification meetings with customers during the tendering phase.
- Ensure the proposed solution complies with applicable standards, Schneider Electric guidelines and internal processes.
- Provide a complete technical handover to the execution team for awarded projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Relevant experience in electrical engineering, tendering, design or execution of Low Voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Good understanding of Low Voltage electrical distribution principles and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand single-line diagrams, technical specifications and electrical drawings.
- Good understanding of electrical protection, short-circuit levels, equipment sizing and basic protection coordination principles.
- Familiarity with Low Voltage switchboards and applicable electrical standards.
- Ability to turn technical requirements into practical and cost-effective solutions.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Good command of English and Romanian.

- Previous experience with LV switchboard design, configuration, tendering or execution.
- Knowledge of IEC/EN 61439, IEC/EN 60947 and relevant Low Voltage installation standards.
- Experience with Ecodial, Power Design, EcoSet Config or similar electrical design and configuration tools.
- Experience with MCC, ATS/AAR, UPS, critical power distribution or industrial applications.
- Knowledge of protection coordination, selectivity and short-circuit calculations.
- Exposure to BMS/SCADA, energy monitoring or communication systems.
- Experience working with panel builders, EPCs, system integrators or electrical contractors.
- ANRE authorization or other relevant electrical engineering certifications.
You will work on a variety of Low Voltage projects across different market segments and combine electrical engineering with the commercial and customer-facing side of the business.
