Tender Manager
What will you do?
This position is responsible for the successful and timely delivery of customer proposals for electrical equipment systems and solution.
The person will accurately monitor tender compliance with request for quotations (RFQ), guarantee accuracy of cost and margin calculations in accordance to commercial business units guidelines.
The person should capable to prepare/animate the tender from early stage of bid preparation, customer negotiation until handover to project manager. Should have the ability to conduct effective discussion from middle to senior to upper level internal management.
Effective coordination with internal stakeholders, customers and third-party contractors through the procurement.
This position works with the following key internal parties:
Ø Sales Account Managers
Ø Business Heads
Ø Project Managers & Operations Team
Ø Finance Business Partner & Credit Team
Ø Solutions Team or Product Application Engineer/ SMEs (Subject Matter Expert)
Ø Key Functional Leaders (i.e. SRM, Service Manager, Credit and Collection, Legal, Export or Logistics )
PRIMARY ROLE
Ø Liaise with opportunity leaders and account managers to understand the opportunity requirements for tender and properly identify equivalent Schneider Electric solution.
Ø Ensure RFQ compliance with internal policy and process requirements.
Ø Coordinate with different factories for equipment/solution offer.
Ø Perform detailed cost analysis based on target price and/or bid competitiveness and value proposition.
Ø Secure tender approval issue approved tender to opportunity leader within SLA and company guidelines or processes.
Ø Manage bid clarifications and coordinate with different SMEs to ensure closing of clarification on time.
Ø Ensure complete and proper hand over of won opportunity to Project Management.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
The candidate should have the following background and experiences.
Ø Licensed Engineer
Ø At least 8~10 years experience in a relevant tendering capacity dealing with electrical equipment (e.g. switchgears, transformers, ring main units, etc.)
Ø Strong background and experience in the construction industry on the areas of electrical systems and solution.
Ø Experience in project management is a plus.
Ø Strong communication, English fluency is a must, business management and consulting engagement skills

EDUCATION
Ø Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communications Engineering)
TRAVEL
Ø This position will be based in BGC Taguig City, Philippines and travel within and outside the Philippines is expected as the need arises.
