Your Mission

This position is accountable for managing medium/complex scale Customer project orders, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. This includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing of customer projects/programs. Under section head supervision this position confirms customer requirements, which includes drawings, specifications, job site requirements, bill of material alignment with specifications & clarify exceptions. Manages complete job process from order preparation, thru manufacturing release, product shipment, post shipment support.

  • The Tender Leader is responsible for managing and coordinating the full tendering cycle, from opportunity analysis to final submission.
  • This role ensures that all technical, commercial, and contractual elements of the offer are accurately developed, validated, and aligned with internal processes and customer requirements. The Tender Leader acts as the central point of coordination between engineering, sales, project management, supply chain, and finance teams to deliver competitive, compliant, and profitable bids.
  • This position requires strong technical and commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Fluency in French is essential to support opportunities and customer interactions within French‑speaking regions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Tender Management & Coordination
  • Lead the end‑to‑end tendering process, ensuring timely and high‑quality submission of all proposals.
  • Analyze tender documents (technical, commercial & contractual) and identify critical requirements, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare tender strategy, execution plan, and documentation in alignment with company standards and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (engineering, costing, legal, procurement, execution teams) to gather all required inputs.
  1. Technical & Commercial Preparation
  • Define technical solutions and configurations based on customer specifications and applicable standards.
  • Review and validate engineering designs, BOQs, man‑hours, and technical assumptions.
  • Develop detailed cost estimations, pricing models, and commercial proposals.
  • Ensure all deviations, clarifications, assumptions, and exclusions are clearly documented.
  1. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as main point of contact with customers during the tender phase.
  • Conduct clarification meetings, technical discussions, and presentations in French and English.
  • Ensure customer requirements are fully understood, translated, and integrated into the final offer.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team during pre‑tender and post‑tender stages.
  1. Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure full adherence to internal tendering processes, approval workflows, and governance rules.
  • Guarantee compliance with CPP, quality standards, and tendering best practices.
  • Maintain accurate tender documentation, version control, and structured folder hierarchy.
  1. Risk Management & Optimization
  • Lead risk assessments for each tender and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Identify value engineering options and competitive differentiators.
  • Provide recommendations for solution optimization, pricing strategy, and delivery model.
  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Propose improvements to tendering tools, templates, and processes.
  • Contribute to lessons learned, sales performance reviews, and cost database updates.
  • Support the enhancement of tendering methodologies within the Quote Team.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Tendering, Estimation, Technical Sales, or Engineering within the electrical distribution.
  • Proven experience in leading complex tenders (preferably medium‑to‑large scale projects).
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical distribution equipment, MV/LV systems, protection, and automation solutions.
  • Excellent command of French (mandatory) and English (written & spoken).
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in tendering software, MS Office, costing tools, and document management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work under pressure.
