Tender Engineer

Scope

• Responsible of the day to day analysis of uncomplicated Request For Quotations

• Prepare costing using standard processes and tools.

• Prepare offer documentation consistent validated data which has been provided by opportunity leader (team) inside bFO.

• Perform simple risk analysis if required. Offers can be stand alone tender (ETO Category D) or internal solutions more complex (ETO Category B/C).

In this role you main activities will be:

• Provide support to the Tender Manager in the day to day actions of the tendering team.

• Process customer Request For Quotations efficiently to meet the customer requested date. If you are unable to meet customer requested date then escalate to Tender manager for review.

• Interpret customer specifications to ensure the correct requirements are delivered.

• Any ambiguities must be clarified with opportunity leader prior to uploading Request For Quotation in bFO.

• Ensure customer and opportunity leader are aware of any non-compliance in the offer.

• Ensure all Terms and Conditions are as per standard. Any deviations from standard Terms and Conditions must be raised to Tendering Manager prior to offer being upload to bFO.

• Prepare hand over documents as per ETO Toolbox Classification.

• Attend handover meeting as a representative from the tendering team.

• Attend and participate to local SIM meetings. If request support Tendering Manager in attending other unit SIM team meetings.

• Undertake encourage self-development, either through Schneider University, e-learning or external training.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Engineering-related degree
  • 1-3 years experience in Tendering and/or Project management
  • Read and understand electrical drawings
  • ERP system understanding
  • Good communication and negotiation skill in English
  • Business understanding
  • Experience of similar industry
