Technician, Warehouse Engineering

Join our manufacturing maintenance team as a Warehouse Engineering Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for managing maintenance inventory, supporting preventive maintenance execution, and ensuring maintenance resources are available to maximize equipment reliability and production performance. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Production Planning, Purchasing, and external vendors to support effective maintenance planning and execution.

What will you do?

• Manage maintenance spare parts, tools, and materials within the maintenance crib.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, locations, stock levels, and critical spare-part availability.
• Perform and coordinate cycle counts while investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Support preventive maintenance planning and scheduling by reviewing upcoming maintenance requirements and backlog.
• Coordinate with Production Planning and Operations teams to identify equipment downtime windows for preventive maintenance activities.
• Develop maintenance schedules based on production requirements, equipment availability, maintenance staffing levels, shift coverage, and available resources.
• Partner with Maintenance Supervisors and Operations leadership to prioritize preventive maintenance activities while minimizing production disruptions.
• Monitor scheduled, open, deferred, and overdue preventive maintenance work orders and assist with schedule recovery efforts.
• Utilize SAP Bridge, SAP PM, and SAP Fiori to manage work orders, material reservations, maintenance schedules, spare-parts usage, and maintenance records.
• Maintain and update equipment bills of materials (BOMs) and spare-parts information within SAP.
• Track repairable assets and coordinate vendor repairs, quotations, lead times, and deliveries.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Maintenance teams to resolve critical part shortages and overdue deliveries.
• Identify obsolete, duplicate, slow-moving, and high-usage inventory items to improve inventory management and optimize stock levels.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient maintenance crib using 5S principles.
• Support initiatives to reduce preventive maintenance delays, stock-outs, emergency purchases, and equipment downtime caused by material shortages or planning gaps.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Experience in maintenance planning, maintenance spare-parts management, MRO inventory control, or maintenance crib operations.
• Experience using SAP PM, SAP Fiori, SAP Bridge, or similar computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance components and equipment.
• Strong inventory management, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, and external vendors.
• Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD $54,500 to $81,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
