Electromechanical Test Technician (Entry Level)
North Haven, CT (onsite)
Typical work hours 5AM to 2:30 PM plus Saturdays 6AM to Noon.
Non-exempt role eligible for Overtime

Position Summary
We are seeking an Entry-Level Electromechanical Test Technician to support the testing and validation of electromechanical systems and electrical components. This role is responsible for conducting functional, environmental, and safety tests to help ensure products meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.
Working under the guidance of experienced engineers and technicians, you will assist with testing actuators, sensors, power systems, and control equipment while gaining exposure to laboratory testing processes, troubleshooting techniques, and industry safety standards. This position is ideal for candidates with a foundational understanding of electrical systems and a desire to build a career in testing and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, environmental, and safety testing on electromechanical products and systems.
- Assist with the evaluation of electrical components, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- Support testing of AC and DC power systems, including three-phase electrical equipment.
- Collect, record, and organize test data and results.
- Identify basic performance issues and communicate findings to engineering teams.
- Utilize testing equipment and diagnostic tools to support product validation activities.
- Follow established testing procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate test documentation and reports.
- Assist with troubleshooting and root cause investigations under the direction of senior team members.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and testing processes.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree, technical certificate, military training, or equivalent experience in:
- Electrical Technology
- Electromechanical Technology
- Electronics Technology
- Industrial Maintenance
- Related technical field
- Basic understanding of three-phase electrical systems.
- Foundational knowledge of AC and DC electrical theory.
- Exposure to or understanding of electrical safety practices and training.
- Ability to read basic electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to use a computer and interest in eventually programming controls.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Exposure to electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, power analyzers, or data acquisition systems.
- Familiarity with electromechanical components including motors, sensors, relays, and controls.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 54,400 - USD 81,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
