Your Mission

The RTL Electrical & Cooling Design acts as the design authority and customer technical referent for electrical and cooling solutions across selected strategic accounts of the EU C&SP Solution Center.

The role ensures technical excellence, consistency, and standardization of Schneider Electric's electrical and cooling design solutions from early customer prescription and tender phases through project execution, while complying with SE technical governance, quality, safety, and cybersecurity principles.

For up to 3 of the targeted accounts, the RTL will:

  • Act as the primary technical reference for customers on electrical and cooling design solutions.
  • Understand customer technical drivers and translate them into optimized and compliant design architectures.
  • Proactively engage in technical prescription activities with customer central teams ahead of RFQs.
  • Contribute to tender preparation, providing validated technical concepts, design assumptions, and clarifications.
  • Lead the design definition of customer-approved solutions, aiming at standardization and reuse across regions.
  • Ensure solutions comply with SE technical governance (CPP, TDP, safety, quality and cybersecurity).
  • Develop complete design packages to support consistent deployment and knowledge transfer.
  • Capture and promote lessons learned and best practices to continuously improve design efficiency.
  • Ensure standardized solutions are correctly applied in all tenders and projects, regardless of geography.
  • Act as technical referent for Zone and Country Technical Leaders during tender and execution phases.

Customer Interface & Technical Prescription
  • Lead technical exchanges, workshops, and clarifications with customers in a credible and trust‑building manner. Clearly explain complex technical concepts, design choices, and trade‑offs to customer stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong customer‑facing, communication, and influencing skills to support technical credibility and customer confidence.
  • Be connected with SE Line of Businesses and be up to date on the last technical evolutions of equipment/ systems to leverage it to the benefit of customer future technical solutions

Tender Support & Upstream Alignment
  • Lead technical validation of UPS architecture during pre-tender and tender phases.
  • Define redundancy logic and uptime compliance matrices (Tier alignment).
  • Validate battery autonomy assumptions and lifecycle impact.
  • Ensure compliance between proposal commitments and executable detailed design.
  • Defend Schneider's architecture during technical clarifications and competitive negotiations.


Technical Design Authority
  • Lead and approve basic and detailed electrical and cooling designs in line with customer requirements and SE standards.
  • Ensure coherence, robustness, and compliance of all design deliverables across projects and regions.

Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination
  • Work in close collaboration with PMs, GTLs, Execution TLs, engineers, factories, and suppliers.
  • Lead and coordinate technical aspects of subcontracted scope in alignment with procurement.
  • Act as the single technical interface for internal and external stakeholders on design topics

Design Scope & Lifecycle Coverage
  • Perform and review design and specification activities from pre‑design and tender through L5 commissioning, optimizing the use of Schneider Electric's portfolio.
  • Typical scope includes:
  • MV / LV systems, transformers, UPS, busways
  • E‑house integration and site installation
  • Cooling systems and controls
  • BMS and monitoring systems
  • Support FAT, SAT, and prototype validations when required.

Standards, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Identify technical risks, designs impacts versus contract or approved baseline.
  • Support PMs and Execution TLs in technical assessments of changes and variation orders
  • Ensure compliance with SE processes (CPP, TDP), quality standards, and safety and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Capture lessons learned and drive standardization and continuous improvement across accounts.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Fluent English
  • Technical experience in AI Data center infrastructure area plus
  • 7 Years in data center; Electrical or mission-related infrastructure
  • Technical experience in critical power UPS (MV , LV, Busway are a plus)
  • Technical experience in the Hyperscale and large collocation Data Center
  • Technical experience in MV, LV, UPSs, Tx, Busbar, EPMS, Cooling Equipment and BMS (Ideally all fields).

Ability
  • Ability to lead with agility in a complex & matrix environment.
  • Ability to communicate (written, verbal) clearly in a concise and synthetic manner on complex technical strategy.
  • Ability to convince stakeholders on the proper project technical strategy
