Technical Project Engineer

Location: Auckland

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Technical Project Engineer to support the end-to-end delivery of Power Systems products and light projects. This role blends project management with hands-on technical ownership, ensuring safe, on-time, and high-quality execution while acting as the key link between customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will lead and coordinate the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring technical accuracy, commercial outcomes, and compliance across the full project lifecycle.
  • Own end-to-end project delivery (scope, schedule, cost, and risk) from handover to close-out
  • Lead technical scope, review specifications/drawings, and manage engineering coordination across teams, factories, and suppliers
  • Resolve technical issues, variations, and design changes while protecting project margins
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, quality, and governance requirements
  • Manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and timely customer/internal submissions
  • Track milestones, maintain reports/dashboards, and ensure data accuracy within ERP/project systems

About You

  • You are a structured and detail-oriented professional with strong coordination skills, capable of managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes in a technical project environment.
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or similar
  • 2-4 years' experience in project delivery, coordination, or engineering roles
  • Experience working with Medium Voltage (MV) technology
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage parallel projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/project systems experience advantageous
  • Background in electrical, power, construction, or infrastructure projects desirable
