The Role: Data Center Solutions Technical Leader - EAJ

  • Be the regional technical leader for East Asia Zone and primary point of contact for the customer regarding Schneider Electric's technical solutions.
    Identify, collect, and understand the customer's key technical drivers and criteria, and leverage Schneider Electric's full portfolio of technologies and solutions to address their expectations.
  • Maintain close alignment with Schneider Electric's Lines of Business and stay updated on the latest technical developments across equipment and systems to integrate them into future customer solutions.
  • Prior to the issuance of RFQs, and with support from subject‑matter experts (SMEs), proactively recommend technical solutions or enhancements to the customer's central technicalteam to address major drivers such as cost, lead time, scalability, robustness, and sustainability.
  • Lead the design of the new or enhanced solution with the objective of standardizing it across all countries to improve efficiency. Ensure the solution complies with Schneider Electric's technical governance principles, including safety, quality, robustness, and cybersecurity.
  • Develop a complete technical design package for the approved or standardized solution to support knowledge transfer across countries in EAJ.
  • Lead the knowledge‑transfer process to local engineering teams to support future deployment.
  • Ensure consistent and proper application of the standardized solution in all tenders to drive global uniformity and efficiency.
  • Act as the technical reference for Application Centre Technical Leaders during both tendering and execution phases.
  • Capture lessons learned and best practices from tendering and execution stages to continuously improve the solution design and streamline deployment across countries.

What will you do?

Technical team coordination & management:
  • Lead the development and provide final approval for both basic and detailed designs of integrated solutions, ensuring 100% alignment with customer technical performance requirements.
  • Direct the technical team's workflow to ensure all deliverables are executed on time and in strict accordance with the project schedule.
  • Proactively monitor technical costs and resource allocation to ensure the technical scope remains within the established project budget.
  • Oversee all technical activities at manufacturing sites, supplier premises, and testing facilities, maintaining high standards of execution until formal project closure.

Technical coordination of project stakeholders:
  • Work closely with Project Managers, technical designers, and specialized engineers to ensure seamless integration across all segments of the technical scope.
  • Proactively identify needs for specialized technical support and manage the deployment of subject matter experts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead all technical aspects for sub-contracted project scopes, working in close partnership with the procurement team to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Act as a single point of contact for customers and all project stakeholders regarding the technical content of the project; and ensure technical coordination among the project team(Global teams, Electra, C&SP, REPs, Factories, etc.).

Design & Implementation:
  • Lead the design and specification process by strategically leveraging the Schneider Electric portfolio to maximize project profitability while mitigating technical risks.
  • Oversee integrated solutions across a broad technical scope-including E-House integration, MV/LV power systems, Busway, ATS, UPS, cooling, EPMS and BMS-from initialpre-design through Level 5 commissioning.
  • Support the transition from design to reality through active participation in prototypes and field testing (FAT/SAT).

Risk & Opportunity management, Change management, Alert:
  • Proactively identify deviations from contractual agreements or approved designs to protect project scope and integrity.
  • Partner with the Project Manager (PM) and Execution Team Lead (Exe TL) to quantify the technical and financial impacts of changes, driving the process until formal variation orders are secured.
  • Maintain close alignment with leadership to flag and resolve substantial issues that could compromise project performance, profitability, or customer satisfaction.

Customer interactions:
  • Lead technical discussions and clarifications with customer;
  • Act as the key and trusty contact person for all technical topics related to the customer's projects.

Quality process, Methods, Tools:
  • Drive standardization of technical solutions and processes across the accounts under his/her responsibility to ensure consistent support for customers in all countries.
  • Support TM, PM to ensure full compliance with Schneider-Electric processes (especially CPP & TDP), and with quality instructions, safety requirements and governance principles.
  • Lead the technical team to correct any technical deviations or quality issues occurring during project execution.

Community of practices & Coaching:
  • Take part of Technical Leaders' Community of Practice within her/his Execution Centre, or globally within Technical Excellence Community network.
  • Identify, get, formalize, share and promote lessons learned and best practices.
  • Act as role model and/or coach junior technical engineers and designers.
  • Be connected with LoBs and stay tuned on the last technical evolutions of equipment & systems (in her/his field of engineering, acting then as a referent in the Community).

What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Fluent English.
    Other languages are a plus.
  • 7 years in leading technical scope of customer projects, or parts of large & international customer projects.
  • Technical experience in the datacenters segment is a plus.
  • Technical experience in MV, LV, UPSs, Tx, Busbar, EPMS, Cooling Equipment and BMS (Ideally all fields).
  • Ability to lead with agility in a complex & matrix environment.
  • Ability to communicate (written, verbal) clearly in a concise and synthetic manner on complex technical strategy.
  • Ability to convince stakeholders on the proper project technical strategy
  • Ability to learn from others, share her/his knowledge, coach others and collaborate efficiently.
  • Ability to read and understand applicable standards
