About the Team

You'll be part of the Estimating & Custom Production team, reporting to the Operations Manager - LV Engineered to Order. The team works closely with internal stakeholders including project coordination, marketing, and state sales teams, as well as external partners such as switchboard manufacturers, wholesalers, and contractors. Collaboration, technical precision, and customer service excellence are at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role

The Technical Solutions Estimator is responsible for delivering professional, accurate, and competitive quotations for custom low-voltage (LV) board solutions. This role ensures compliance with Australian standards and Schneider Electric recommendations, while also mentoring and reviewing the work of other estimators. As the first level of escalation within the team, this position plays a key role in maintaining high customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
What Will You Do

  • Prepare technically accurate quotations from schematic diagrams and customer specifications.
  • Ensure all quoted solutions comply with Australian standards and Schneider Electric guidelines.
  • Provide accurate information to support custom board manufacture and approved design.
  • Maintain queue management and ensure timely delivery of quotes.
  • Prepare production documentation upon order receipt and verify compliance with wiring rules.
  • Support customer presentations and capability demonstrations.
  • Mentor and coach team members, sharing technical expertise and process knowledge.
  • Maintain strong internal and external relationships across estimating, sales, and partner networks.
  • Promote and comply with Schneider Electric's HSE policies and governance standards.
What Will You Need
  • Experience: interpret schematic and single-line diagrams; experience in electrical trade, engineering, and quotation preparation.
  • Education: Electrical engineering qualifications or equivalent relevant engineering experience.
  • Technical Skills: High attention to detail; understanding of wiring and service rules; proficiency in Excel and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Communication: stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Mindset: Customer-focused, safety-conscious, and committed to continuous improvement.
