Sustainability Specialist

Mission : As part of the wider Sustainable Development team in the UK&I, the Sustainability Specialist will play an integral role in planning, driving and executing sustainability and wider environment projects cross the UK&I territory in order to achieve Schneider Electric's sustainability commitments. The Sustainability Specialist will be responsible to drive cross-functional projects across the UK and Ireland, while also improving and driving employee engagement around sustainability topics.
Key responsibilities:
Data management and analysis
- Work directly with sites, facility management providers, suppliers, business functions etc. to collect sustainability and environment data
- Input and manage data quality and coverage in Resource Advisor and other tools, in line with reporting requirements
- Analyse sustainability data and prepare reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, highlighting variances against previous reporting periods and working to understand these
- Use data to drive evidence based, strategic decision making (e.g. waste improvements, real estate decarbonisation, energy efficiency programmes)

Delivering sustainability and environment initiatives
- Develop and execute clear project plans, including timelines for deployment, to ensure sustainability targets and wider business objectives are met
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure progress towards sustainability targets
- Support business functions on sustainability integration
- Collaborate with a number of stakeholders, internal and external, on sustainability topics
- Drive wider territory engagement on sustainability topics through the development of training programmes, written communications etc.
Skills and attributes:
- Displayed interest in sustainability
- Data management and analysis skills
- Proven track record in developing and implementing sustainability programmes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach
Education
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or related field required or relevant post graduate degree
