Supply Chain Planning Manager

What will you do?
• Manage the upstream supply chain to ensure both optimal customer service levels and optimal inventory performance
• Work with suppliers to improve the flexibility and the responsiveness of the upstream supply chain
• Ensure the optimal flow of material in the manufacturing plant including: reception, storage and replenishment
• Manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure the fulfilment of customer orders in accordance with the Commercial Logistics Offer
• Create workforce plan and manage related resources to improve production performance including collaboration with other departments
• Oversee the implementation of manufacturing schedules, personnel requirements, quality control, production standards and safety programs
• Coordinate production to guarantee production quality, timing, customer focus, and optimal efficiency to reach plant and cluster goals
• Potential for additional exposure to Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes and reporting, including digitization of these reports
• Coordinate the activities of different teams to get products to customers on time, considering factors such as transportation time, engineering changes, production and machine down time, product returns and other delays
• Ensure hosting of meetings, give presentations on logistics efficiency and consult on the strategy for launching new product
• Balance safety, cost management and business growth then prepare and present reports to directors and top executives
• Develop team members' competency through training, coaching, and communication and performance management
• Train, lead, and mentor a team of employees that includes reinforcement of safety guidelines
• Work with manufacturing to ensure there are sufficient resources to fulfil customer demand
• Design and implement the upstream and downstream flows during the new product introduction process
• Manage downstream flows for: customer satisfaction, inventory efficiency, transportation cost and adherence
• Administrate and support production team and facilitate skill development
• Execute overall inventory levels in compliance with space availability, production output, order requirements, and business plans
• Work directly with the suppliers, purchasing and production to make sure material lot sizes, lead times, and packaging fits into the plant material providing as well as handling plan
• Support supply chain management planning with reporting current and hypothetical inventory levels
• Develop strategies to meet Schneider Performance System (SPS) objectives
• Implement improvement projects in the areas of warehouse management, material flow, Kanban accuracy, inventory control, physical inventory procedures and facility information management
• Utilize various tools and coordinate with different departments to provide accurate supplier forecasts
• Potential for additional exposure to large project scheduling
• Be part of the logistics and operations team to supervise the lifecycle of a product, from its creation to delivery to a customer
• Be responsible for managing supplier performance
• Collaborate with other departments to close operational gaps
• Manage a healthy plant inventory level to drive lead times down and increase cash flow
• Strategize to dispose unhealthy inventory in a timely manner
• Support supply chain management planning with objectives and implemented improvement projects in the areas of warehouse management, material flow, KANBAN accuracy, inventory, and manufacturing systems in order to effectively manage as well as control inventory levels

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

• Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in the manufacturing supply chain.
• Experience in inventory management, transportation and warehousing, along with external supplier and customer management.
• Experience making decisions that impact overall costs (COGS) involved in servicing customers
• Experience in warehouse management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, (preferably with SAP and Kinaxis), tableau dashboards and other digital platforms
• Project management experience with complex, large scope supply chain initiatives.
