Overview

The Regional Supplier Quality Development function is responsible for the application of supplier quality management standards and best practices. This applies to plants, support functions, and suppliers within the region. The developer manages and enhances supplier quality performance. They also challenge and support the development of essential knowledge and competencies for achieving supplier quality excellence. The developer collaborates closely with suppliers to enhance overall supply chain quality. They focus on customer satisfaction and sustainability. Additionally, contributes to Procurement supplier strategy and use digital tools to improve quality processes. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality standards and promoting continuous improvement in the supply chain.

Your Mission

  • Drive impactful improvement actions for robust and sustainable upstream quality performance
  • Lead and animate supplier quality performance for their Category and/or regional scope (cluster/group of plants)
  • Train, coach, animate, network on quality and safety standards and competencies
  • Manage continuous transformation activities in line with corporate and regional guidelines, deploying them internally with our plants and externally with suppliers
  • Provide support to suppliers in order to help them improve their competitiveness and thus sustainably continue to meet Schneider expectations.


What You'll Do
  • Manage and apply the quality part of Supplier qualification activities
  • Support the application of the Advanced Product Quality Plan
  • Drive the supplier quality performance. Identify potential supplier quality risk, early warning and take preventive action for risk mitigation
  • Build and execute the supplier development program
  • Develop procedures and digital /other tools
  • Support the escalations, depending on their business impact, customer satisfaction and performance
  • Ensure supplier recovers to standard operating expectations and KPIs (recovery/convergence) post Most Impacting Quality Suppliers escalation

Supplier qualification:
  • Manage supplier audit in the frame of the regional roadmap .
  • Manage the request of action plan (RAP) with orange/red supplier with an objective of green before allocation of business
  • Coordinate the full overview of the SAM audit for one supplier (Procurement, Quality, Planning, Techno) to check if the potential business ramp-up is adapted to the audit results (different supplier maturity level).
  • Manage derogation process when applicable
  • Train, coach and validate new SAM auditors.


Parts Qualification:
  • Support the Advanced Product Quality Plan (APQP) collaborating with all functions involved in it for legacy and new offers.
  • Assess and challenge the PPAP level and the quality of supplier deliverables.
  • Support and challenge quality risk by addressing pFMEA high RPNs for supplier process improvement and risk decrease for improving control plan efficiency.
  • Support & coach SQEs on PPAP processes execution.


Performance monitoring:
  • Animate with procurement team the supplier quality performance focusing on the critical categories, identify and lead the actions to improve the Customer Satisfaction and performance.
  • Support and apply the process of Most Impacting Quality Suppliers with procurement, plants and suppliers. Lead Offer Safety Issue/Offer Safety Alert.
  • Train & coach procurement team and supplier on Schneider Electric Quality KPI (s) knowledge.
  • Challenge and follow critical parts disengagement roadmap with procurement team when needed.
  • Support the supplier derogations and process change notifications.
  • Lead communication of Supplier Quality Performance


Supplier development:
  • Execute supplier development in the frame of the regional program.
  • Challenge and support quality basics and fundamentals application at suppliers for their industrial maturity development
  • Support the adoption of corporate and regional initiatives and documents by suppliers (example Supplier Quality Excellence guide).
  • Ensure that the downstream flow is back under control


Key Systems you will be working with:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Plants ERP system (ex.SAP)
  • Supplier relationship management system (ex.SSP-SRM, Prism)
  • Non-conformities registration and treatment system (ex.bFO and Supply On)
  • Parts requirements and qualification systems (ex.PDM, APQP/PPAP)

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Engineering or Business
  • At least 8 years' relevant experience, in the electromechanical, electric or electronic industry
  • Min 5 year' experience in a quality or supplier management role
  • Track record in production, project, plant management areas are an advantage
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Problemsolving, ownership mentality evident in daily approach to work
  • Fluency in English
  • Lean Manufacturing or 6 Sigma Green/ Black Belt certification preferred
  • Certified Auditor
