6 days ago Río Grande, Mexico

The Sr. Energy Consulting Supply Advisory Sales Rep is responsible for acquiring and expanding strategic corporate clients across Mexico by selling electricity and natural gas procurement consulting services. This role focuses on supporting large energy consumers-industrial companies, data centers, and commercial buildings-in optimizing energy costs and managing risk through participation in the MEM (Mercado Eléctrico Mayorista - Mexico's Wholesale Electricity Market).

This is a senior, consultative sales role combining new business hunting and key account development, requiring strong technical knowledge of Mexico's energy market, regulatory framework, and supply-side dynamics.

What will you do:
Business Development & Hunting

  • Identify, pursue, and close new corporate clients aligned with the Energy Consulting & Supply Advisory portfolio.
  • Proactively generate leads through direct outreach, referrals, events, and partners.
  • Position consulting services that support clients' migration and participation in the MEM (Mercado Eléctrico Mayorista).
Consultative Sales & Account Management
  • Engage with decision-makers at all organizational levels, including C-level executives, to identify energy cost, risk, and sustainability needs.
  • Lead complex, multi-month sales cycles (6+ months) from opportunity qualification to contract signature.
  • Develop medium- and long-term account strategies to grow, protect, and diversify customer relationships.
  • Create compelling proposals, lead executive presentations, run product demonstrations, and negotiate commercial terms.
Energy Procurement & Market Advisory
  • Lead and manage electricity and natural gas tenders (RFPs/licitaciones), including bid analysis and supplier recommendations.
  • Advise clients on optimal procurement strategies within the MEM, benchmarking suppliers and contract structures.
  • Provide market intelligence on price trends, regulatory changes, and supply risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver measurable outcomes such as expected savings, budget predictability, and value-added services (market intelligence, energy software platforms, billing/payment control tools, etc.).
Collaboration & Governance
  • Partner with local and regional teams to maximize market opportunities and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate CRM pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Share best practices and market knowledge with peers and implement manager-recommended sales methodologies.

What will make you successful:
  • Fluent English with strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in field sales and consultative selling within the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electricity and natural gas markets, with deep expertise in MEM (Mercado Eléctrico Mayorista) operations.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles, high-value negotiations, and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience selling advisory or consulting services related to energy procurement, sustainability, or energy management.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior leadership and C‑level executives.
